The converter calls the public Frankfurter API through ObrasParaguay’s /api/fx endpoint. If that source is temporarily unavailable, the tool switches to a clearly marked editorial fallback rate.

Why does the converter show an approximate rate?
Approximate mode appears when the live provider cannot be reached. In that case the API returns conservative editorial fallback rates with stale=true so users can continue planning without assuming live market precision.
